So that was a lot. Like many of you, I needed to take a breath and process a little.
Sexual assault is still nearly impossible to prosecute — victim-blaming, trauma ignorance, and good old-fashioned misogyny are alive and well. Not guilty is not the same as innocent. EM, I am sorry the world wasn’t ready to witness the courage it took to get on that stand. We are not safe until the world stops seeing us as commodities. We see you. We hear you. We believe you.
